First a foremost I must say that I am in no way ashamed of the way I look, nor am I overly self-conscious of my body type; I exercise regularly, eat well and try to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Although, like anyone, I do wish certain parts of my body looked different and felt firmer. That being said, I was intrigued when Orbe Hair & Beautyat Norwood invited me to try a new treatment that tackles cellulite and weak fat cells in an enjoyable manner.

The Guinot Technispa Body Treatment is an advanced new procedure that combines heat, suction and galvanic (electric currents) to target underlying fat cells while also kick-starting the body’s lymph drainage system, which helps to eliminate unwanted toxins.

The prime aim of this alti-cellulite slimming treatment is to leave clients with ‘firmer, smoother skin and a noticeable improvement’ in areas such as the stomach, butt and thighs.

Originating from Paris, the modern technology essentially operates as a fat-targeting vacuum in areas that are known to hold the most cellulite. To be frank, I was quite sceptical about the treatment prior to my first session as it sounded too good to be true.

I went to Orbe for three treatments of the Guinot Technispa across the span of five days. Before the first session began, my thighs, hips and waist was measured so we could compare the difference after my final treatment.

The treatment itself took fifty minutes for each session and every time the suction level was increased, which I admit was slightly uncomfortable at times.

What was the end result you ask? Well, it’s fair to say my jaw was on the floor when I saw the outcome based on the measurement numbers!

Both my thigh diameters had decreased by 2 centimetres, across my waist I had lost 4.5 centimetres and my hips no longer had an additional 2.5 centimetres – beyond crazy for only three salon visits!

I also noticed a dramatic change on the underside of my butt, which was admittedly a section of fat I was having trouble removing at the gym!

Though I only had three treatments done, a full session consists of eight treatments – you can already imagine the results! After the circuit of eight treatments it is recommended to return to the salon after four weeks to improve or maintain the results.
